Valentines Day Elopement Styled Shoot

Brittany Martorella Photography Valentines Day Inspired Elopement Styled Shoot

Having lived in the South for just over two years I have learned to appreciate the traditions that are so different from what I am accustomed to. People here have a warmth that isn’t easy to find elsewhere and there is such charm to this area I hope that will always remain. One of the biggest observations I have had about the traditions here is the tendency towards brides wanting those big, fairy tale southern weddings. Of course the desire for a large wedding can be found everywhere, but I have seen families stay very connected to one another even the large extended portions. Brides can then put a lot of pressure on themselves to make everything just right and be sure that everyone has their input with the wedding details. Now eloping is no new thing, but it has become very popular in the recent years with brides that yearn for those beautiful wedding day details but dislike the hefty costs associated with a traditional wedding.

Cue the intimate weddings, the adventure elopements! We put together a dream team of wedding experts and over the last few months crafted something truly original so brides can make a conscious decision of how they would like to spend one of the biggest days of their lives. The color scheme of our styled shoot gently hints towards Valentine's Day and the vintage touches graciously compliment the modern styling as well as the gorgeous non-traditional gown. There are no right or wrong ways to elope, you can mosey on down to the courthouse or go scream your love from the most (and nearest) majestic mountain top or locate your closest historic plantation home and celebrate in the old open air horse barn. We could not be more pleased with the results of this collaboration and I hope it has opened your eyes to how beautiful an elopement style ceremony can be.
